23 March 2009 is a important date for Socialists in India as it is the beginning of birth centenary celebrations of Dr Ram Manohar Lohia, a socialist Ideologue, visionary, principled politician who propogated ideas of seven revolutions and non-congressism. Dr Lohia gave concept of seven revolutions (Sapt Kranti). He said that seven injustices are committed continuously and simultaneously, which included conflict between rich and poor, inequality within and between the nations, discrimination between men and women, discrimination on the basis of colour, conflict between upper caste and the lower caste, movement against nuclear bomb and other violent methods through non-violent means i.e. satyagrah and civil disobediance.
To propogate sapt kranti idea Saptakranti Vichar yatra was organized by Rastriya Seva Dal and Yusuf Meher ali yuva Biradari from 9 agust 2009 to 12 oct 2009 on Dr Ram manohar Lohia Birth centenary year by road through 21 states and completed 20,000 km. download 313 pages pdf book ..... सप्त क्रांती यात्रा
